Alexandria .. City and Life

In an artistic evening and a festive atmosphere, the exhibition "Alexandria... City and Life" was inaugurated.

The opening ceremony was attended by:

  • Mr. Nikolai Zwiagintsev, Deputy Director of the Russian House in Alexandria,

  • Mr. Hassan Wasfi, Artist and engineer, the President of the Alexandria Fine Artists Syndicate,

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Professor and Head of the Department of Photography and Art History, Faculty of Fine Arts - Alexandria University.

The opening ceremony was also attended by a host of artists and media professionals. The exhibition's opening marked the conclusion of the "Photography: The Secret of Our Life" activities, which began with a series of seminars from mid-May through Alexandria's National Day and on the occasion of Alexandria being designated the Capital of Culture and Dialogue for 2025.

The events included an international photography competition with the theme of Alexandria, as well as a series of seminars, lectures, and workshops in various fields of photography and cinematography. The events were organized by the “Soura” Art Foundation and the “Pharaohs International Photography Club”, in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority - Alexandria Office. The seminars were hosted at the “Mahmoud Said Museum” Seminar Center in Alexandria, and the exhibition and closing ceremony were held at the Russian House in Alexandria.

From our participation in the "Alexandria... City and Life" ceremony and exhibition on Sunday, July 27, concluding the "Photography is the Secret of Our Life" events, in cooperation with:

  • The “Soura” Art Foundation.

  • The Pharaohs International Club.

  • The General Authority for Tourism Promotion, Alexandria Office.

  • The Russian House, where the exhibition and ceremony were held.
