Safe Spaces: Out There & Within
Can art heal? In a world overwhelmed by noise, pressure, and uncertainty, Safe Spaces invite us to pause and breathe. Through exhibitions, residencies, performances or community-based art projects, artists and audiences in Egypt and Czechia explore how art & creativity can become a refuge — a space where minds recover, emotions connect, and collective resilience grows. Because caring for mental health begins with listening, creating, and imagining together.

We are delighted to be among several partners in the opening ceremony of the Safe Spaces initiative with the Czech Center. The Cantos Arts Foundation aims to support artists from various creative fields and create a bridge between local artists and international institutions. Cantos recently participated in the 20th Mediterranean Biennale for Young Artists with the Bjcem Foundation, and Cantos founder Joseph Alfred will present a violin workshop at the International Viola Congress in Paris.
At Cantos, we strive to focus all our efforts on building a truly safe space for every artist. Our vision is to create a safe and sustainable environment that embraces artists' experiences, ideas, and dreams. Believing that we engage with the world through free self-expression, we offer opportunities for expression through several workshops in visual arts, photography, and creative writing. More workshops will be announced soon.
