The CANTOS Foundation for Arts & Development is proud to announce the official appointment of Dr. Christina Ebersohl-Van Scyoc to its Board of Directors as Vice-President. Dr. Ebersohl-Van Scyoc is a globally recognized concert violist, leading accessibility advocate, educator, and U.S. Army veteran, whose multi-faceted career spans international performance and cultural diplomacy. Her appointment marks a significant chapter for the foundation as it expands its artistic outreach and community development initiatives.
Dr. Ebersohl-Van Scyoc brings an extraordinary depth of artistic excellence and strategic leadership to the CANTOS board. A former U.S. Army Arabic linguist and a 2022 Tillman Scholar, her unique journey from military service to the international classical music stage includes a celebrated Carnegie Hall debut, a global performance history spanning Europe and Egypt, and the release of her recent debut album Viola al-Mashura / The Enchanted Viola. Her extensive creative research and commitment to cultural preservation align perfectly with the core mission of the CANTOS Foundation.
