The CANTOS International Choral Forum 2026 invites conductors, educators, researchers, performers, composers, and choral practitioners from around the world to submit proposals for educational and professional development sessions to be presented during the Forum.

A call is opened for conductors, educators, researchers, performers, and practitioners to submit their proposals for Educational performances and collaborative learning experiences that create opportunities for dialogue, cultural exchange, and artistic partnership, bridging the diverse choral traditions of the Global North and Global South.

We welcome proposals in the following formats:

  • Masterclasses

  • Workshops

  • Lectures

  • Lecture-Recitals

  • Seminars

  • Panel Discussions

The Forum is designed as a dynamic platform for learning, collaboration, and artistic exchange. Through interactive educational sessions, participants will engage in meaningful dialogue, share innovative practices, and build lasting international partnerships.

We particularly encourage proposals that foster:

  • Cross-cultural collaboration and artistic dialogue.

  • Exchange of knowledge and best practices in choral music and vocal education.

  • Innovative approaches to conducting, rehearsal techniques, vocal pedagogy, composition, performance, and community engagement.

  • Research that advances the choral field.

  • Inclusive and accessible practices in choral music.

  • Connections between the diverse choral traditions of the Global North and the Global South.

Selected presenters will contribute to an inspiring international gathering that celebrates excellence, diversity, and the transformative power of choral music.

We welcome proposals from both emerging and established professionals who are passionate about shaping the future of choral practice through education, research, and artistic collaboration.

Applicants wishing to present an educational session must submit the following:

  • Session title

  • Session description and abstract

  • Presenter biography (maximum 250 words)

  • Session objectives, learning outcomes, and presentation format

  • Technical and logistical requirements (if applicable)

Educational Session Focus

Educational sessions should contribute to the forum's mission of fostering knowledge exchange, artistic collaboration, cultural understanding, and meaningful dialogue between the choral traditions of the Global North and Global South. Proposals may include masterclasses, workshops, lectures, lecture-recitals, panel discussions, research presentations, or other innovative educational formats.
